UMME JAMEEL | Umm Jamil, the wife of Abu Lahab, in Surah Al-Masad. She is known for her extreme hatred and persecution of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Quran refers to her as "the carrier of firewood" because she would scatter thorns and other refuse in the Prophet's path to cause him harm. The Surah declares that she will be punished in the Hellfire along with her husband.
